Don't we feel like Insensitive Jerks about our previous post. News trickled into Australian workplaces shortly after lunch today that Steve Irwin was killed this morning when he was stung in the chest by a stingray while diving in Port Douglas in the north of Queensland. Queenslanders love Steve, so little work was done as people anxiously refreshed their browsers in hope that the Courier Mail had just got yet another story wrong. When the ABC updated their website with the story people were devastated.
It may be inappropriate, but we can't help but point out that this makes the mascot somewhat less creepy...
