The abseil (rappel) from the Gordon Dam in the western wilderness of Tasmania is not only the largest commercial abseil in the world (140 metres), but also launches off the side of a power generation dam. Could anything be more perfect for an engineer who loves adventure sports? We wonder if BC Hydro will start offering this service!
